Technology

We believe in using the latest technology in order to maximize the quality and precision of treatment.

Cone Beam CT - Dental Implant Planning

This is the ability to take 3D X-rays at a low dose. We frequently take these images prior to dental implant placement to plan the position of dental implants, ensuring that they are in the best position for the restoration that they support or retain. It also guarantees that the position of the dental implants does not cause any complications to surrounding structures.

Cone Beam CT - Root Canal Treatment

We routinely use 3D X-rays to determine the extent of infection related to teeth, the root canal anatomy of the tooth, damage to the tooth from previous treatment and missed canals. This helps to determine whether treatment is likely to be successful and in conjunction with operating under the magnification of an operating microscope ensures that the fully root canal anatomy of the tooth is disinfected, increasing the success of treatments.

Intra Oral Scanning

This can replace tradition impression taking with trays and impression materials.  Allowing a digital 3D record of the dentition to be used for educating patients, monitoring the dentition or used for making prostheses. The efficiency of making prostheses is improved with images being sent straight to the laboratory and not relying on couriers to transport impressions to the laboratory.

Computer aided design and milling

The majority of implant restorations, veneers, crowns and bridges are made by computer aided design. The impression model of the dental implants and teeth is scanned then the restoration designed digitally. This maximises the precision of the restoration, allows the strongest and most tooth like materials to be used. All materials are guaranteed.

Dental implant design

We predominately use the Straumann implant system which has a large amount of scientific data supporting its success. We can however support all other dental implant systems. This uses the latest technology on the surface of the implant to promote bone growth around the implant, ensuring quick bone growth around the dental implant. The implant is also made from some of the strongest titanium alloys on the materials on the market
